Day 1 Lisbon Portugal

Lisbon is actually located in Portugal, not Spain! It's a beautiful city with lots to see and do, so I hope you enjoy your visit. Here are some suggestions for how to make the most of your two days:

Day 1:

  • Start your day with a visit to the Belem Tower, a historic tower located on the Tagus River.
  • From there, head to the nearby Jeronimos Monastery, a stunning example of Manueline architecture.
  • For lunch, try some local specialties like pastel de nata (a delicious egg custard pastry) or bacalhau (salt cod).
  • After lunch, take a stroll through the Alfama neighborhood, known for its narrow streets and colorful buildings.
  • In the evening, head to the Bairro Alto neighborhood for dinner and drinks. This area is known for its lively nightlife.

Day 2:

  • Start your day with a visit to the Castelo de Sao Jorge, a hilltop castle that offers panoramic views of the city.
  • From there, head to the nearby Baixa neighborhood for some shopping and sightseeing. This area has plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat.
  • In the afternoon, you could take a tram ride to the nearby town of Sintra, which is known for its stunning palaces and castles. However, keep in mind that two days in Lisbon is not a lot of time, so you may want to skip this if you're short on time.
  • Finally, head back to your cruise ship in the evening for your departure.

Of course, these are just a few suggestions and there is plenty more to see and do in Lisbon. Enjoy your trip!
